Where are the events being held?

The screening & reception will be held at the Campus Center Theatre at Stockton University in Galloway, NJ (not the Atlantic City campus). The Special Collections exhibition will be held in the Richard E. Bjork Library, also on the Galloway campus. The Descendant Dinner will be at the Smithville Inn

The Q&A following the screening will be approximately 1 hour long.

Who will be on the Q&A panel?

The Q&A panel will include the film’s Executive Director/Producer and Alliance descendant, Susan Kehnemui Donnelly; the Director of Photography and Alliance descendant, Ted Salins; Alliance descendant and farmer, Nachum Helig; and head of the Alliance Heritage Center, Dr. Thomas Kinsella.

What will happen at the ALLIANCE reception?

The reception is a time to schmooze and nosh with descendants and those interested in the history of the Alliance Colony. Listen to some fun Klezmer music, view paintings of artist and  descendant Bluma Bayuk Levin, and enjoy food and drinks to celebrate ALLIANCE.

No, the food at the reception will not be Kosher, but there are vegetarian options available. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Where exactly is the Descendant "Family" Dinner?

We have several dozen people expected at the Descendant “Family” Dinner on Sunday evening at 6:30pm and are very excited to schmooze with everyone. The buffet dinner will be at the historic Smithville Inn, located at 1 N. New York Road in Absecon, NJ.

No, the dinner at the Smithville Inn will not be Kosher, but there are vegetarian options available. We apologize for any inconvenience.

How far is the Alliance Descendant “Family” Dinner from the Stockton campus?

The dinner is being held at the Smithville Inn (1 N. New York Road in Absecon, NJ), approximately an 8-10 minute drive.

What is the Stockton Special Collections Exhibit?

Accepted Answer

The Stockton Special Collections is opening up for a special short exhibit of Alliance archives held by the Alliance Heritage Center. The Special Collections exhibition will be held in the Richard E. Bjork Library, also on the Galloway campus.

How long will it take me to walk from the  Theatre to Special Collections  at the library?

Where are we going on the Alliance & Woodbine Colonies Bus Tour?

First we'll visit Woodbine  to tour the synagogue, museum, and grounds.We will have lunch there, which is included in the cost of the trip. Then we'll go Alliance, where we will have a guided bus tour, visit the original Alliance synagogue, the museum, and the cemetery.

Will the lunch for the bus tour be Kosher?

Yes, the boxes lunches provided for guests on the bus tour will be Kosher. There will be a small selection of items, including vegetarian and vegan options.

No, there are no additional fees for tour sites.

Should I wear anything special for the Alliance & Jewish Colonies Tour?

Accepted Answer

Please keep in mind that we will be walking around the areas, so wear comfortable shoes. While there is nothing special required to be worn in the synagogues, some find it respectful for women to cover their shoulders.

How long will the drives be on the tour?

It is approximately 35 minutes from Stockton to Woodbine, 35 minutes from Woodbine to Alliance, and 45 minutes from Alliance back to Stockton.

Will the tour be handicapped accessible?

As of now, the bus for the tour does not have a wheelchair lift. If you require one and would like to attend the tour, please let us know at info@alliancefilm.com by Tuesday, April 11th.

Stockton has two basic campuses, one in Galloway (the original campus) and one in Atlantic City. The screening of ALLIANCE is on the Galloway campus, NOT the Atlantic City campus. The main address for the Galloway campus is 101 Vera King Farris Drive, Galloway, NJ 08205-9441.
